The exam paper felt like lead in her hands. Olivia carefully folded it, then unfolded it again, the action a nervous ritual. Her fingers fumbled with the edge. She imagined the professor's expression, the condescending smile she knew so well. The campus, usually vibrant and alive, seemed suddenly hostile, the laughter of other students a discordant symphony. Her throat constricted, and she swallowed hard, trying to quell the rising panic.
